Added Value
A key component of the partnership is the close working relationship that has developed with the council who, on the recommendation of Enerveo, now co-locate at its office in St Column Major to deliver this specific project. Not only has this saved valuable resource, but it has also established transparent and localised channels of communication and an in-depth understanding of the ongoing contract demands and requirements from a joint perspective. This has created a strong foundation from which the council can look to evolve the scope of the project to include smart city technologies.
The complexities of the Integrated Technology Contract (ITC) work called for a ‘wraparound’ service where Enerveo has acted in a commissioning capacity to manage relationships with large specialist companies on behalf of the council, streamlining the reporting structure and acting as the single point of contact for the client.
Enerveo is employing on average two young people each year to help service this contract and, as part of the ITC, have committed to employing an apprentice each year – a total of 16 trainees over the project duration.
